I very much enjoyed reading this book. The way John and Nora have written their stories makes you feel as though you are sat with them, listening to their memories over a cup of tea. It's always very humbling to hear how our elders made sacrifices during WWII and this book is no exception. The story is not overly graphic and therefore suitable for teen readers too. I live in the Wakefield area so the local angle was particularly interesting for me. All profits going to Wakefield Hospice make this book a super little buy!
