Mildly interesting though it gives a good and very meticulous argument for the literary worth of August Derleths achievement of setting up the Arkham House Publisher. The author has an obsession with what books were published when and by whom and contained what as well as with Arkham House's output and distribution (even of the bootlegs) of it's properties though it is all used for the main thrust of the book which stresses Derleth's value to pulp and weird fiction after the pulp magazines were gone into today especially H.P. Lovecraft's work but it also tended to drag. I found it interesting as it did fill in some large holes in my knowledge of the first string of weird/fantasy publishers after the pulps.
