"Composer's Description" The Miserere in G Minor is an early work by this composer, and still shows the primary influence of the Italian Bel-Canto style - Donizetti and early Verdi, most notably. It would be ranked as Intermediate on the scale of difficulty. Unlike more recent works, the melodies are intended to be, first and foremost, singable. The accompaniment is simple (the composer at this time had virtually no piano skills to speak of). The intention of the piece is for use as a concert recital. There is no separate orchestration to buy, nor will there ever be. Performance time: Approximately 1 hour
