This short biography by General Paxton's son, John, is a rare glimpse into the inner passions of a devoted Southron General. Originally "printed, not published," as the title page says, it soon went from private memorial project to an in-demand published book. General Paxton fell at Chancellorsville while leading his men in the victorious charge that made the day a complete Confederate victory, but he lives on in the pages of this book.
