A real book of Christian magic used many times by horror and history author Manly Wade Wellman in his fiction. This is especially true in the stories of John the Balladeer where the LONG LOST FRIEND comes into play to help thwart supernatural forces.
Written by John G Hohman in Germany and first printed in the USA in 1820, this book mainly serves as a supernatural Farmer's Almanac. It carries remedies for sick cattle and shows how to stay safe from witches and robbers.

"From the creator of Silver John" This is a book of Christian spells. Great reading, wonderful history and fantastic occult works. If you read this along with Wellman's Silver John stories and novels, the whole thing comes to life. Recommended
