    I love John Green's simple style of writing. It flows and doesn't require a high level of concentration to get through. As in most of Green's books, this one is grounded in reality with a wisp of fantasy. This story is about long journey (very, very long) of a strong man with many demons who went from an 'average Joe' to a great leader of many generations. This story was unique in its plot, relationships between the characters as well as its character development. I developed such an attachment to Barth, the main character, that I had to put the book down for a few weeks as it was actually becoming difficult for me to read the multiple hardships he suffered. This is a rare occurrence for me since I am not an emotional person, so that level of attachment is a true testament to the skill of this author. With that said, I see enough real-life suffering in the world that I prefer my free time reading to serve as an escape from that, rather than more of it. My missing star is not a...
