This is a great read for those of us that never served, to gain some insight into to what some of our friends, co-workers and relatives who did serve, have to deal with internally on a daily basis. Although the main characters, Bob and Helen, are fictitious, I'm sure that any one who reads the book will quickly associate these characters with someone they know in the real world who has served in the past, and appreciate the sacrifices made and ongoing adjustments they need to make, even at the present time

This book brought back lots of memories, I thank God that at twenty five years old I found the Lord, and it made it easier for me to press through. Thank you for writing this book, Great book! I can't wait for the next one!

Excellent book about PTSD. I could not put the book down. Read it in three hours. I lived through the Viet Nam war but did not realize all of the issues these brave women and men went through for our freedom. It gave me a better understanding of the struggles they had and still are living with. The author did a wonderful job to write this book and explain what PTSD does to your mind. We need to support all our Vets. God bless them.

Although this book is a work of fiction, there is a factual basis for the contents. There is indeed a VA treatment facility at Menlo Park California. Viet Nam vets as well as Iraq and Afghanistan vets seek treatment there. Many vets of all wars have difficulty coping with the horrors they lived though, the physical and moral injuries they suffered, and the feeling that they are alone in their struggle. This book tells a plausible tale of many of these issues. It shows vets suffering from the nightmare of PTSD that they are not alone in this struggle. I would recommend this book to anyone touched by PTSD. That would include Vets, their families, their friends and anyone who wants to understand the struggles of PTSD. I am a Viet Nam vet.

Compelling and relevant to all generations of PTSD suffers and their friends and family affected by PTSD. This easy read helps the reader understand the perseverance and patience our war heroes must endure to manage PTSD effectively. Our Veterans reading this book will relate to the author's experience and through his humor will learn that it really is okay to start a discussion, you are not alone, and you will help others by sharing your experience. I'm truly humbled and have an even greater appreciation for not only our veterans but civilians also affected by PTSD. Buy it, share it! You will enjoy and appreciate the fictional accounts based on real-life experiences. We owe this author a debt of gratitude for encouraging dialogue among PTSD sufferers.
