"Talking Stalking" I could not put this book down! For anyone interested in the Englsh countryside, the wildlife and particularly the deer it contains, this is a fascinating read. The author gives us a tour through many years of trials, failures, and successes that are given to one that is prepared to forego a warm bed in the early hours or a relaxing evening in front of the tv in order to witness the first beams of sunlight slanting through the awakening forest at dawn, or the gathering gloom after sunset as the woodland settles down for the night. For the aspiring deer stalker in the UK (or the deer hunter in North America) there is much to learn from the experiences of others - this book will certainly help. For the more experienced, the tales will chime true with their own observations and memories. John K Dryden's deep knowlege of the countryside and deer shines through. I am sure this book is destined to become a classic of its genre.
