How meeting a girl with a Greek mother in a smoky bar in Bath, UK, eventually led to living in Greece. Only it took the best part of 30 years! If you like lighthearted yet informative travel books, this is right up your street. Travel writing at its best. FETA recounts how the author and his wife drove from the UK to Rhodes with all they possessed in a white van, then set up home and began a new life. The book also contains plenty of amusing anecdotes from numerous visits to all parts of Greece over the space of three decades or more.

"Feta Compli!" This book deserves to reach a wide audience. I found that each time I had to put it down, I was really looking forward to my next reading session - a sure sign that a book has "grabbed me." It certainly educates one about loads of parts of Greece and aspects of her culture, while also making me laugh out loud on more than one occasion. I hope his sequel "Moussaka to my Ears" makes it into print. It'll certainly sell one copy! & John didn't pay me to say this, I just used his log-in to post it!!
"Feta Compli" A really enjoyable read which made me laugh out loud several times. This is not just an entertaining travelogue but provides real insight into the Greek way of life and culture. I would highly recommend this authors first novel and its a must read for anyone with an interest in anything GREEK!
"feta compli" A very readable style, professing an experienced writer who clearly should have been writing a long time ago. You come away glad you've been reading it. All in all a good advocate for the travel writing genre.
