Taken Without The Owners Consent

Byjohn martin blythe

Carl Hirst hasn't got long to live. He is holed-up in a terraced house in east Leeds. He has committed a terrible crime and is about to pay for it with his life. He decides to spend his last moments recording the details of his life in the form of a series of ‘lessons’ to a child he has never met. It is trawl through the grim and depressing northern English urban crime landscape. Car-theft, murder and drug-dealing are the only industries open to you when you are forced into exile amongst your own. This is the story of two brothers, one a Police Officer and the other a career criminal, whose lives are drawn together into the black-hole of a multiple-killing in a provincial city from which neither would emerge unscathed. It is also a story of alienation. A story of life on another planet where people live parallel lives outside of society. But where the concept of Natural Justice drives all people to eventual acceptance and even desire of their destiny.
