This is the story of Victor Lilia, who emigrated from Finland to Canada and lived in Fort William, Ontario. He enlisted in the 78th battalion, Canadian Infantry, in January 1918 and saw active service in France, where he was wounded. He died in the Ontario Military Hospital in Orpington, Kent, England in June 1919 and was buried in Canadian Corner at All Saints Church, Orpington.
