In “Wrestling Until the Dawn: The Fight for Biblical Justice in a Postmodern World”,
John Preston converts the most recent biblical scholarship into a postmodern lens to address the major moral issues of global economic inequality, environmental sustainability, and warfare. His progressive theological thought addresses these global issues and proposes a spirituality of both truth and hope.

John R Preston's 'Wrestling until the Dawn' is a thought provoking and engaging book that I recommend unreservedly. The first half of the book presents the philosophical and social development of proto and early Christianity. His identification of the stages of Christianity's development is insightful and contains exciting ideas. Do not be tempted to skip this part: it's the part from which I learned the most. The remainder of the book argues for a reversion to the values of one of those earlier stages to satisfy our modern needs.
"Sounds remarkable" Sounds interesting - I would definetely read that book. Too many people have lost sight of the truth about warfare. Christianity has become stuck on the good things of life but, in today's society more than ever warfare is abounding. I am just 15 and already know this! Satan is out for the kill and we MUST stand together and live for Jesus!
