Ittai the Gittite was a warrior and a loyal servant to King David and most importantly he was a seeker of God and his Savior. This book follows the imagined life of Ittai the Gittite who is briefly mentioned in the Old Testament Book of Samuel. However brief, the Bible shows us, in Ittai, an example of how we must unconditionally serve God. This book traces Ittai's life from his time as a young boy living in the small village of Gitt. The village is attacked by Goliath the Giant of Gath. Ittai is captured and becomes Goliath's slave. He is trained in the art of war which sends him on on a parallel path with King David. Ittai's life, as with most of us, is filled with triumphs and tragedies but through everything the constant is his desire to serve God and find the savior. The book has action, adventure, romance and even some humor as we follow Ittai from his lowest depths as a slave to his position as one of David's generals. I beleive this book will appeal to anyone who is trying to... More > or has already found God.< Less
