This book is designed to introduce students to basic chemistry concepts. In Unit 1, students make and convert measurements, design tables and graphs, create models, and use the scientific method. In Unit 2, students interpret a model of the atom and use the periodic table. They distinguish types of chemical bonds and identify properties of common compounds.
