"Talking Stalking" When John Dryden talks stalking it behoves us all to listen. A collection of reminiscences from his 50 years in the field, each is like coming across clearings in a vast, dark forest of ignorance, each spectacularly lit by the the first tentative tip-toeing from the trees of a roe deer. The quality of some of the photographs isn't great, but then you've made this investment to learn about shooting deer in the other sense, haven't you? The accumulation of his years in the field add up to a wealth of experience, and in each fascinating story can be found a germ of advice to inform your own forays into the forest. Eifion Rees, Shooting Times, August 2007.
