Under The Msasa is a collection of short stories for children's character building. The stories are drawn from real life stories. Each story has a peculiar character building lesson weaved into it. The stories are drawn from the author's own childhood in then Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) of the 1970s and 80s. Some of the stories are from the author's own parenting experience. Yet others are from her experience as an immigrant in South Africa of the 2000s. The author's childhood is set in the colonial history of Rhodesia as well as the troubled times of the war of liberation in the 1970s. Her parenting is set in post independent Zimbabwe of the 1990s.
