"Quite a book!" Your writing has qualities that make it worth comparing with the great fantasy writers: Tolkien, Brian Jaques, Lloyd Alexander, Tamora Pierce, among others. And I envy your ability to describe, especially the opening scene, the tower. You have an imagination enough to bring anything to life.
