Exercise: Good for the Body and Mind

ByJonathan Standhart

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
In a recent research paper I wrote, I looked into the relationship between exercising regularly and the symptoms of depression and anxiety. During my research, I found out that when a person exercises regularly, their symptoms of depression and anxiety decrease. I compared the implementation of regular exercise with clinical psychology for depression and anxiety. Though exercise is not very effective in decreasing symptoms in people with severe depression or anxiety, those with mild to moderate depression or anxiety can experience a decrease in symptoms. Exercising is also significantly less expensive than that of a psychologist. In all, for those suffering from mild to moderate depression or anxiety, the implementation of regular exercise could yield great results in decreasing symptoms.
