"VIOLATION ALERT" This book was NOT authored by Jose Millet Batista as your website indicates. The book posted here for sale and free download is an early and personal draft of Professor Jualynne E. Dodson's Sacred Spaces and Religious Traditions of Oriente Cuba, recently published by the University of New Mexico Press. As a Research Associate with the African Atlantic Research Team, I worked closely with Dr. Dodson while she researched and wrote the final book. Jose Millet Batista was an early and important collaborator on the project, but was not involved in the writing that produced the final book. The early manuscript draft published here as a book represents a severe ethical violation and I discourage the public from accepting either its legitimacy as a final product or Mr. Millet's legitimacy as its author. I recommend that interested readers acquire Dr. Dodson's genuine, completed, and published book, which is now widely available at stores and libraries.

"URGENT NOTICE" As a member and investigator of the African Atlantic Research Team, I have worked with Dr. Jualynne Dodson on the Sacred Spaces and Religious Traditions of Oriente Cuba book project. I was with her during all phases of the project, from conceptualization, data collection and analysis, and the long and arduous process of writing. Although Mr. José Millet Batista was a pivotal collaborator to collecting data for the book manuscript, and in the earliest analysis of those data, as indicated by Dr. Dodson in the "Acknowledgments" of the authentic publication, he was not involved in the grueling process of writing and re-writing that brought this book to fruition with the official publisher, University of New Mexico Press. The information contained on your site is incorrect and critically violates the collegial collaboration in which the project was originally designed and undertaken.
