Scaffolding Techniques for the Rizal Course

A teacher's resource book for the Rizal Course, using Lev Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) Theory. A socio-cultural paradigm is employed wherein the teacher first does while the students watch, then the teacher does while the students help, then the students do while the teacher helps, and finally the teacher simply watches while the students do. The teacher transitions from 'a sage on the stage' to 'a guide at the side' in tackling issues on Rizal's ideals, works, and contributions to Philippine nationalism and internationalism.
