If at University, Budo had been an actual subject; undoubtly this would have been the obliged text book to own. It works perfectly fine to everyone, not only beginners, but Shodan and above still use this book as reference.

"An excellent resource" As an 8th kyu student, I found this book to be an excellent resource. My favorite part, and the part that I think makes it worth the money, is the thorough kyu requirements section. Most of the techniques are given a 2-3 line description, which helped me a lot when I learned something in class but could not remember the Japanese name exactly. I could look it up by kyu and scan the descriptions until I found it. I'd recommend this book to anyone studying at the 10th to 1st kyu in the Bujinkan. It is the closest thing I have found to a textbook for this art.

"Beginning to Intermediate Taijutsu By J. Adriance" Kudos to Sensei Adriance for this fine work on Taijutsu. It is a very thorough book covering training philosophy, history, etiquette, and of course techniques. But don't be mislead by the "beginner to intermediate" title. This book would be a valuable addition to any Bujinkan member's library. It is well written and has great photos illustrating waza, kamae, etc. Although perhaps a bit pricey for some budgets, it's worth every cent. Pawn your Ipod if you have to, but get this book! Ninpo Ikkan!
