    According to a genealogist Sue Rosenburg Crawford, in a book: Walker Genealogy By: Doctor Mike Duff. "About 1671 John Walker of Wigton, Scotland married Jane McKnight." John Walker of Wigton had a son John Walker who married Katherine Rutherford January 7, 1702." "John and Katherine Rutherford Walker moved his family from Scotland to Newry, Ireland." "John Walker his family and the children of his brother Alexander left Stanford Bay in May 1726." They were on board a vessel commanded by Richard Walker." They landed in Maryland shores August 2, 1726." Our Walker blood line came to Maryland before George Washington was elected President in 1789. The parties had not yet been established. While America was a dream and the colonies were thriving, both John Walker and Katherine Rutherford Walker were buried at Nottingham Meeting House Chester County, Pennsylvania.
