One Man's Experience is a loving tribute from a daughter to her father. Focusing on two years of her dad's life -- 1951 to 1953 -- Joy Lewis tells the story of her father Carl and his service in the 11th Airborne. He was stationed for most of that time at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he trained as a paratrooper. The early 1950's was an historic era, as Carl not only took part in the atomic tests in the Nevada desert, but was also directly involved in Truman's effort to integrate the Armed Forces.
