"Mother's Dozen" Joyce Fields really hit the nail on the head in “Mother’s Dozen”, why did I not have this book when I was raising my children? The theories Joyce teaches are basic and yet such important fundamentals especially for new parents to teach their children. Babies are clean slates when they enter this world & so often parents forget that they, not the siblings, not the teachers, not the peers, but they are the main influence in teaching their little ones to live an independent, productive and reputable life with God at the helm. Thank you, Joyce; at least I can use these valuable concepts to help teach my grandchildren!

"Mother's Dozen" This is an exceptional book for new mothers as well as fathers. Reading page by page, from start to finish, you are drawn to the teachings of motherhood. Mother's Dozen is the perfect book to be included in the "care package" a hospital gives their new mother's. Mother's Dozen, in my eyes, is a guide to structuring a foundation for your new family. A child requires a sturdy foundation to build on as he/she grows up. Hospitals, pre-schools, and any facility that comes in contact with young mother's and father's should distribute this book with pride to the young family. My recommendation is "tops". Thank you Joyce!

"Mother's Dozen by LaShan Brown" Let me first start by saying I'm not a book reader, therefore I loved that fact that the book was so short and to the point. Kudos! As for the content, this manual was awesome. Although I don't have kids, nor do I want them, the information was easy to understand and relate to. It took me back to how I was raised. Both my parents and grandparents planted these categories inside me without me even knowing. This book reminded me how and why they did things the way they did. Every topic was on point and needed to be address. A few of my favorite topics of advise were (1) Feeding a childs interests (2) Learning to like virtually all fruits and vegetables (3) Manners helping with human relations (4) Rules, Order and Organization Thanks for sharing your wisdom!

"Mother's Dozen: 12 Things I Did to Mother a Wonderful Son " This is DEFINITELY a must-read for new mothers!!! I would have liked to have read it when I was pregnant with my daughter. All of the virtues Joyce talks about in raising her son applies to me. HOWEVER, I had to learn everything as we went along!!!
