Inherent Self-Regulation:

An Introduction to the Components and Operational Concepts of Continuous Control

ByJ.R. Lambert

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Inherent Self-Regulation is an introductory textbook for persons interested in knowing more about the fundamental operating concepts of process controls. The text introduces the components and collective operating principles of negative feedback control loops. Topical coverage includes sensors and transmitters, standard signal ranges, control loop calibration, error signal generation, continuous control operations of proportional, integral and derivative operating modes, transducers, final control elements and typical industrial processes. Mathematics through Calculus is beneficial but not required as this text was written to support a more qualitative course in contemporary controls. Calculus forms the focus of the second half of the text but again, from a more descriptive than analytical perspective. Controller tuning and fault diagnosis (trouble-shooting) is also discussed.
