"British Singer Rocks Literary Establishment" British rock singer Jude Rawlins has harvested inspiration from William Blake for over a decade and a half. Here he gives something back to the legacy of the man who for many remains the greatest voice in English literature. Rawlins's introduction to Blake's work is ferocious and highly personal, and in being so is far and away the most appropriate vision of Blake I have ever seen commited to the pages of such a collection. Rawlins pulls no punches in his indignation at the lacklustre treatment that Blake receives from so-called experts, and this book is sure to polarize opinion, if not make a few enemies, and that in itself justifies it's existence. Add to that his inspired choice of Blake's poems and what you have here is a literary sensation. Read it now or be damned to eternal bulls**t.

"Subterraneans Frontman Unlocks The Doors Of Perception" There are a great many arguments surrounding the life and work of William Blake. About the only thing anyone agrees on is his genius. In his book Divine Images: The Words Of William Blake, Jude Rawlins, better known as lead singer of London 'art rock' band Subterraneans, throws a much needed grenade into a century and a half of literary debate. Rawlins completely decapitates the horrible elitism of the Blake academics, and he does it so easily as to leave the reader quite shellshocked. Not only that; his choice of poems and their ordering bring the reader to the heart of Blake faster than any previous collection you could care to mention. A most efficient piece of work.
