Clean Shelves is a fictionalized account of an actual crime committed in a small Indiana town a long time ago. Small towns still fascinate readers and writers alike, and crimes in small towns fascinate even more. The Centerville of Clean Shelves and the Wisteria Lane of Desperate Housewives have a lot in common. One existed way before suburbia, huge malls and cell phones, the other because of them. On Oct. 24, 2008 Judy lost her battle with breast cancer, but she brought Clean Shelves to life for you to enjoy.

"Best Novella Ever!" I am biased. As Judy Misner Santora's brother, initially I was not interested in revisiting a morose unsolved murder mystery that perplexed our small rural town where it occurred. The fact that my sister spent the last year of her life battling cancer, which eventually took her life, she devoted herself to this Novella to both rid her of a mesmerizing fascination and a personal expression demanding publication. Upon reading the first draft of this book, I was immediately thrown into a long forgotten memories in certain surreal detail. Judy's descriptive lines make for an imaginative artistic stroke she based on real people and real incidents that occurred over 50-years ago. This novella once begun...cannot be put down. It is possibly the best 63-page Novella ever written! Others who have read it say the same...I out of bias, but they out of genuine literary critique.
