Tucker, an 8-year-old black Labrador Retriever, recovered from a devastating spinal injury caused by a blood clot. This chronicle, written with affection and humor, reveals the day-to-day challenges of coping with a frightening diagnosis.
This amazing book helped give us support through an extremely rough time. When our dog was diagnosed with FCE we were left with so many unanswered questions, although the vet was there to provide us with the technical information surrounding the disease there was still a constant feeling of uncertainty about how we as dog owners were going to handle this. Through blogs, message boards, and internet research we stumbled upon this incredible helpful book. It was able to give us a general idea of what to expect as well as some different ideas of how to cope. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has been placed in this unfortunate situation. Knowing that others have gone through this and have a success story to tell truly makes a difference. Also after reading the book I had a few questions more specific to my dog's case so I emailed the author and received an immediate helpful response.
