Project Infest - The First Two Years is a collection of photos and written accounts from underground punk music and art collective, Project Infest. The collaboration started out in a warehouse located in South Central Los Angeles from September 2009 to September 2011. Infest warehouse as a music venue and art space is part of a larger trend in Los Angeles: people are fed up waiting for someone to give them a leg up to fulfill their dreams. Young artists, musicians and activists are getting together to create their own futures with the resources available today. The book combines photography by Julianne Lindsey with intimate accounts and interviews with the founders of Infest, participants and observers and the landlord. Follow the tribe of Project Infest through it's successes and battles as it provides a creative force amongst intercity youth.
