This story, set in Scotland, bought back memories of my chidlhood, the writer seems to feel the need for happy, 2 parent families and contented children, I so agree with her sentiment. I read this to my daughter, found the story intruiging, would make a great movie.. A reminder of the holocaust and wars that should not have been had in the first place. An ordinary girl, yet again, gets put through an adventure that makes her stand out. I am truely a fan. Well done Julie.
So far,so good. Having read the preview it gives the reader enough to want to read more. I have ordered the book and will read it to my class in the fall. I will write a full review later.
"talented writer" Being an editor myself I often pop onto LuLu to see if there is new talent around. Looks like we have a new Enid Blyton on our hands. I like the simplicity of the story, it will be easily read by young and old alike.
"Interesting story" I had initially bought this book for my grandson Scott, I had started to read the story to him, but ended up finishing it myself when he was asleep. It was an endearing tale of a little girl from Scotland and what she finds on the beach where she lives and where that takes her. Nice story telling. Brought me back to my childhood. Great story.
