Misfit Trip and other tales of suspense

Misfit Trip and other tales of suspense contains five coming of age stories involving young people thrust into situations with traumatic consequences. In "A Dire Evening," misunderstandings arise between two groups of people that puts Chris and Joel in dire straits. "House Sitter" has Carvan watching dogs in the neighborhood. When his friend arives unannounced in the middle of the night, Carvan believes he could be in trouble. Gary "Branch" skips school for a party with friends in "Unrequested Presence." When an uninvited guest arrives and is violently banished from the gathering, it sets forth an unforeseen chain of events. "Quagmire Way" has Franklin taking his friend Steve back a swampy section of road for camping. He doesn't tell Steve what made this area terrifying for him in the past. "Misfit Trip" has Lester "Les" accepting an invitation for a getaway with his pals Kevin and Ted, "Elf." Soon after departing, Les believes he was included on this trip for different reasons than originally presumed.
