This personal memoir, tracks a two year journey recounting the ever increasing cases of financial abuse amongst our seniors and elderly. It is the most common form of elder abuse, but also the most unreported form of crime. After learning of the betrayal of a trusted employee, the truth is uncovered, revealing seniors who were fraudulently abused in their own homes. The stories reflect the vulnerability of our loved ones who placed their trust in their caregivers. Their worst fears became a reality, with many never even realizing it was happening to them. These crimes happen in our society, more than we want to acknowledge or admit. In many cases those who prey upon the elderly go unpunished, and easily move on to their next victim.

"Re: Written Review..submitted by Amy-Jo Allen" Thanks Amy-Jo for your heart-felt comments. It is good to know that someone of your younger age group found the book interesting....and understand that we need to be aware of these type of crimes.

"Excellent Book!" This was an excellent book - I couldn't put it down. Sad that the facts are true and that people in authority take advantage of our weakest and most helpless members of society especially the elderly who deserve our respect. Thanks for opening our eyes to this abuse.

"Awareness is Key" An easy, eye-opening read. Imagine the care givers/takers who have not been caught. This kind of abuse must happen more often than anyone knows. You have captured the story from the heart of a honest, loving person. The world you be a better place if everyone was more like you. Thank you Jackie, how proud you must be knowing this could save someone's loved ones from the crooked caregiver/taker. Good job!

"Powerful story!" A wake up call for anyone who has elderly parents or relatives that require outside care. I wish this book had been available twenty years ago when my Father was in declining health. The betrayl of trust is a deep wound, especially with the elderly. Paul

"Great Book!" I absolutely loved this book and ended up reading the entire book in one sitting! I just couldn't put it down. The author kept me wanting more and I really got into each one of the characters. It opened my eyes to what some caregivers stoop to and I want to ensure that doesn't happen to someone I know. After finishing the book and feeling like I had to share it with others, I gave it to my mother and then my grandmother to read. They both raved about how much they enjoyed the book. It was really was a terrific read and encourage others to read it as well.
