I stumbled upon this book as a gift from a friend. I'll be honest, it suprised me. I found it to be an engrossing story about a journey I identified with in part. Karen casts a window into her remarkable and moving journey over the past twenty some odd years. A path filled with seemingly insurmountable setbacks which she overcomes and exceeds in the end. It is a book that will move you. Thank you for sharing it with us Karen. We celebrate in your victory and in your zest for life today! Wishing you great joy as you journey through life. Your life story inspires me and I know that it will others. Highly recommend this read - it is something applicable to us all.
It has been a long time since I have read a story that gripped me to the point that I could not put it down. Sentenced to Life in Bed But I Escaped did that. Karen's story inspired me. It made me cry, laugh, and cheer for her all in one sitting! If you are looking for a great book about hope, beating the odds, and the courage to pursue your goals no matter what the cost, then Karen's book is for you. A great gift for the holidays -- this one would get 10 stars if I was able to give it!
