I used this book in a 16-week course from UND. I am now a resident in Norway. I assure you, the book is useful. I would have liked to see the book less geared toward young college students (I'm middle-aged and post-graduate) but I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to learn Norwegian. In fact, my two teens benefited greatly from it, too.
"Sett i Gang" Sett i Gang (Let’s Get Started!) is a much awaited textbook for students at the beginning level of Norwegian that can be used in the classroom as well as for independent study. The thematic units are designed to focus students on practical Norwegian. The text offers a firm foundation of grammar as well. The exercises are fun and communicative. I especially enjoy the on-line audio materials that allow students to listen there or download them. This visually attractive text is infused with culture and authentic material. My students are very cost conscious and the textbook package is a real bargain. Sett i gang is easy to use and cuts back on the amount of extra work required of the teacher. I was very happy with the prompt service LULU provided. Peggy Hager- Lecturer in Norwegian University of Wisconsin-Madison
