This is a very popular book for use in schools and for home study. It guides the young writer from sentences, through paragraphs and into essays in an easy-to-follow style. The model paragraphs and essays are appealing to children, and the writing topics are fun to do. Aimed at middle school students, this book is bound to build writing confidence and improve writing standards, while covering all main writing types from narratives and descriptions to comparative, instructive and persuasive essays.

Genres include narrative, descriptive, informative, persuasive, discussion, comparative, instructive and letter formats. The book is suitable for ages 9 to 14, or for Grades 4 to 8. This book is fun and easy to follow, and I highly recommend it.
