In my walks around Haughton Cemetery – Toledo’s smallest cemetery –I have found six men who were veterans of the American Civil War. There is nothing on their graves to mark that these men answered their country’s call – no GAR markers, no Government Issue headstones. This book attempts to rectify this omission by presenting their stories. Adapted from a presentation made to the Greater Toledo Civil War Roundtable.
