A sweeping saga set in world changing times. From 1905 until the Nineteen Forties Russia people went through the most important period of its existence. It endured unrest, war, revolution, civil war, famine and then war again. Into this is a naïve young artist tries keeping his head above these turbulent waters. He lives through revolution, prison and the death of his lover. Yet he eventually finds love again only to see the Germans invade Kiev and destabilise his existence. He realises that here's a chance to escape so, using his artistic skills, he devises a plan. It has to be implemented before the approaching Russian army returns to reclaim their territory and reinforce their ideology.
