Mr. Mayor And The Next Thing He Did After The Last Thing He Did

When you need a really, really good hand shake then Mr. Mayor is your man. His handshakes are the stuff of legend, the kind of event that when captured in the full page photograph of a newspaper front cover they can bring a tear to your eye. Whether it is for a grand ceremony marking the inauguration of a new leaflet dispensing table or to mark the awarding of a certificate of reasonable competence to a laundry his handshaking is a thing of beauty; a ballet of palm clenching gymnastic skill worthy of an Olympic gold medal. Now Mr. Mayor had a new challenge to take that skill to a new world where it would not just impress the population, it could make him into a god, or at least someone who on occasion managed to get a few people to think that he wasn’t a total waste of space. This may be thought of as the humorous side of sci-fi, a world populated by people whose lives you might recognise, but at the extremes of what it means to live.
