A photo essay of Patagonian Argentina and Chile, the "Tierra de Vientos" or “Land of the Winds” with prehistoric glaciers; emerald and turquoise-hued lakes and rivers; black sand beaches; impossibly large skies piled high with lenticular clouds; fiery sunrises and sunsets; the jet-engine roar of wind buffeting my tent; twisted trees straight out of The Hobbit; the thunderclap of calving glacial ice; and, at times, the sweet silence of solitude.
