"Rock X" This is an excellent example of a Scottish Sci-fi Novel. It's funny, quirky and is a combination between trainspotting and star trek! The only problem I have is that it's a bit difficult to pick up if you AREN'T into sci-fi. It can be a bit difficult. Other than that, though, it's an enjoyable romp through time, space and parallel universes and successfully answers the question why Alien Baddies never invaded Scotland during B-Movies of the 1950s! I bought it. I loved it. But then... I'm into sci-fi. If you're not, you might not get some of the references.
