A collection of Jewish folktales for young children. The author told these tales to children (aged 3-5 years) at the Stroum Jewish Community Center in Seattle, WA in 2008-2009. After each folktale, the author asked the children a question, such as "What would you do if you were king?" and typed down the children's responses. All of the children's responses are included in the book.

What a treasure to have this at home. The stories ARE traditional. The tales are simplified to be understood by the very young, yet reading these for myself, as an adult, I found I was getting the very essence of the original story without the volume. And without the time it would take to find and read the originals. Fortunately the author included his sources so, if inspriration ever strikes (whenever I can find the time), I can go to the originals. In short, a delight for young and old. If you have young children, plan to have them, or grandchildren, this is a must-have treasure to help form a bond between you and child. They'll be asking "Read me a story, please"
