One sunny afternoon while on a flight to Cairns, Australia the idea came to create a colouring book focused on the plight of the earth and the hope for it's restoration. I was on a visit with my partner to show her some of the beauty of Queensland where I had lived a few years prior.
Each day I took my pencils, pen & paper and drew under trees, on sandy beaches, along rainforest creeks, in sunny cafes and on my friend’s kitchen table. I began to tap into a profound grief and pain which I was not aware of previously, the unspoken suffering of the waters, the air, earth, the trees and animals.
The images poured through with a sense of hope & urgency.
