If so, I highly recommend Adapt Or Die: How The Internet Is Destroying Dealer Profits And What To Do About It by Kurt Baumberger. Defying conventional wisdom about what dealers think it takes to succeed in automotive retail, Baumberger shows in great detail how most dealerships are failing to understand basic marketing tenants and how to apply them to their Internet efforts. Additionally, he uses real world examples to show how our old ways of selling just won’t work in the era of social media and other user-generated content. Baumberger not only identifies what is wrong, he also shows dealers how to make it right – even going so far as to identify resources dealers can use to help them succeed.
