Intermezzo

This is an intermezzo (subtitled "...frozen in ice forever...") for solo piano that is written in a modern style, with overtones of Chopin or possibly Satie in its temperament and style. It is not technically very difficult and can be played by any intermediate level student. The tempo is moderately slow, and the mood is reflective and sad, but is contrasted by a bright and hopeful middle section.
