Dahlia, Signet of Prophecy is an off world fantasy replete with Kings, Queens, and warring houses. The story begins with young Prince Kley Eusebeo who is required by the law of the land to go through the rite of passage by slaying the giant napraut before he can assume his seat on the throne, due to the King’s imminent death. He and a few loyal men of the King’s guard set off to a distant land. Tragedy strikes the hunt. Kley is wounded by the giant beast but against his Captain’s wishes uses a potion given to him by a mysterious young woman. He lapses into a dream state where he has visions of his future and of a young man struck down by a stolen amulet meant for young Kley. The young prince brings his caravan to the Norselin where he meets a vision, lithe and beguiling, who his dreams told, would be his Queen. While he is away, Kley’s eldest sister Qarah conspires, with the help of High Priest Zelman, a coup of the House of Eusebeo.

"Amazing book!" I am a book lover, in particular of sci-fi and fantasy. This book caught my interest the second I read the introduction. Many books take time to do so; not Dahlia! LJ Newlin has done an amazing job bringing a new land and people to life. I can't wait to read the remaining books in this trilogy! I highly recommend this book!
