This collection of essays is a tale between two countries, written by an author born and raised in the oldest capital in the world, Damascus, al-Sham, and now living in Sydney, Australia. The poetic prose of each essay is the author's reflection on incidents and stops in the journey that is life, moving between yearning for and worrying about the tragic situation in her homeland and new beginnings and experiences in her new home.
The book is bilingual with a full English translation of each Arabic essay.
