This is a story of the Bowen Families migration from Wales to Texas. William Penn was in the Carmarthin area of Wales recruiting Quaker families to settle in Pennsylvania. They joined his group in the late 1600s and Owen and Moses Bowen settled in Pennsylvania. The Bowen's migration led them to Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi and Texas. They lived through many hardships, including the French and Indian War, American Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Mexican War and The Civil War.
