Emergent megacities evaluates contextual patterns of expansion within the metropolitan assembly of Accra, Ghana and proposes design schemes that will accommodate future growth while maintaining elements of cultural reference. A critical investigation of the present conditions within urban settlements located in Greater Accra informed proposed development strategies for future proliferation. Patterns of micro-level subdivision and macro-level sprawl were actuated to implement a design approach, and a parametric coding model was constructed to monitor quantitative impacts of development over time.
