This book was not helpful at all, but that isn't the author's fault. In addition to studying her notes, I my own content to them, more than tripling the material studied. Then I took the test and almost nothing I studied was on the exam. I had no fewer than 20 questions dealing with balancing chemical equations. It was more of a chemistry exam than anything else. Be careful, the questions are very trickily worded. Like when they ask you the speed of a vehicle after its crashed into another one, thereby locked into it through the process of smashing and crumpling, they are really asking you how fast it could travel if it were hitched to the other one and begin traveling at its new maximum velocity.

These notes have been very helpful so far. I noticed that there aren't many formulas or constants in them. Is it necessary to memorize them? If yes, any idea on where I could get a list of them?

"Re: Middle School Praxis Notes" Please note this is a FREE product. I hadn't checked on my project in a few years. I'm glad to see people are still downloading it and that it has helped some. I am truly sorry Patricia and a few others feel this product is not up to their satisfaction. I have been honest about the material contained within my book. If you do not have a science background there is not one single book that will help you to pass this exam. It is extensive. However, many people, like myself and my fellow teachers have had various science courses throughout their career. For people needing refreshers of the general topics I still believe this is a good product. I've had a very positive response to my book overall. Please note that this book is downloadable for FREE. I am not profitting a penny on this project. Any money paid is for the publishing done by Lulu. Please keep that in mind when reviewing. Best of luck to all, you're entering into the best profession... More > in the world!< Less

I bought and used these study notes to get HQT in Alabama in MS Science, at the time I had already taught MS science for 25 years- but am a PE major-who last took Science at Georgia Tech as football player in 1977! I studied nightly for about an hour for a couple weeks! When I got to the test, I decided to take the harder HS praxis test for general science 6-12! I honestly completed the test in under 20 minutes and had to sit and wait the entire 3 hour testing period before I could leave! I received my score 164-200 which is an 82%, weeks later! The notes not only prepared me for MS science but also HS science, I am HQT Science, teaching science at the MS and HS level at JU Blacksher School- thanks to this course! Thank you! Dr. Kevin R. "Good Help" I purchased the official ETS study guide only to find that I could check it out for free at the college library! I discovered this Lulu study guide later, and I found it VERY HELPFUL in giving me ALL the information quickly. Some of the info was erroneous, but overall I think it would be worth anyone's time. I scored a 180/200. Thanks for the help!
