For those of you who have no connection to Little Long, this book may mean nothing to you. For those of us who lived and grew up in Little Long, this book is gold. The names in this book, and the events described, will flood your mind with other long-forgotten memories, and will remind you of a time when life was simpler, playing meant that you went outside (as opposed to looking at a monitor), and nobody locked their doors. You'll read how people did what they had to do in order to make this province the national economic engine that it was back in the 1960's. If you lived in Little Long, you know exactly what I mean, and reading this book made me realize that Little long meant as much to the people who lived there as adults - and built the dams - as it did to the kids who lived there. The only problem is that I read this book too fast, but that's OK, as I'll likely be reading it more than once, anyway.
